Hiker injured in fall, rescued by Sheriff's Air Rescue 306 in Forest Falls

LOCATION: Big Falls / Forest Falls, San Bernardino
VICTIM: 16 year-old female, resident of Moreno Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 15, 2018, at approximately 5:40 pm, Sheriff’s Air Rescue 306 was requested by San Bernardino County Fire, for a hiker who fell and injured her leg, arm and head. When AR306 arrived, they contacted fire personnel and they advised the subject could not walk due to her injuries. AR306 lowered a medic and a rescue basket to the victim, approximately 135 feet. The victim was stabilized by the medic and placed into the rescue basket. The victim and the medic were hoisted to the helicopter and the victim was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
