On July 12, 2018, at 4:59 p.m. Special Deputy Tyler Martin was serving court papers to a residence in the 100 block of East Poplar Street when upon approaching the door he detected the odor of raw Marijuana. At that point Deputy Martin began a drug investigation that resulted in the seizure of $19,570 and 385.9 grams of Marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia. At the conclusion of Deputy Martin’s investigation 20 year old Jakob Hall of Owensville was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Hall was charged with Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia. He has since posted a $750 bond.

Assisting Deputy Martin in his investigation was Captain Bryan Ellis, Deputy Jennifer Robb, and Owensville Town Marshal Jason Wright.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
