HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 8 PM CDT SATURDAY...
The National Weather Service in Saint Louis has issued a Heat
Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM to 8 PM CDT Saturday.
* TIMING...Heat index values between 100 and 106 are expected from the late morning to early evening hours on Saturday.
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to 106 due to temperatures in the mid
90s, and dewpoints in the lower 70s.
* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
outdoor exertion or extended exposure. The very young, the
elderly, those without air conditioning, and those participating in strenuous outdoor activities will be the most susceptible. Also, car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
