Suspect steal ATM at Gas station
ATM Theft
Most people go to the ATM to take money out, but on Saturday someone took the entire ATM out. Employees of the Raceway gas station on Route 1 called police at 10pm Saturday to report that their ATM was missing from the lobby. The employees said they last saw the ATM on Friday night.
Officer Brooke Goetz and Jamal Benbow worked with gas station management to review surveillance video of the station. Officers observed two suspects break into the lobby at 2:38am Saturday morning and load the ATM machine into a van. The ATM may have contained $500 in cash.
Police are providing the public will a photograph of the suspects stealing the ATM in the hopes of generating leads. Any one with information on the two suspects is asked to call South Brunswick Police Detective Eric Tighelaar at (732)329-4000 ext. 7486.
