Newport Beach Police Department to Participate in Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop Event - Monday, July 23
On Monday, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Newport Beach Police Department officers will serve as celebrity hosts and servers at Javier’s Restaurant (7832 Pacific Coast Highway) in the annual Tip-A-Cop Event on behalf of Special Olympics Southern California. All monies raised at the event will go to support Special Olympics activities in Orange County.
Special Olympics athletes are children and adults with intellectual disabilities who are like other athletes – they love to train and compete, whether they win or lose. The Special Olympics provide the athletes with the chance to develop physical fitness, sports and social skills, and self-esteem.
In past Tip-A-Cop events, the Newport Beach Police Department has raised $10,000 each year for Special Olympics Southern California – Orange County Region. We hope you can join us for this incredible event!
