On Monday, July 10, 2018 at approximately 4:15 PM Des Peres Police Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Kinstern Drive off of Manchester Road. A neighbor reported that a suspicious person was in the side yard of their neighbors home and notified their neighbor that someone may be in the home. While Officers were checking the residence an Officer located a Person of Interest (POI) on an adjoining street. Investigation found that the POI was in possession of property taken from the home. The POI was known to the homeowner and entered the home thru a basement window without permission. Warrant application will be made with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney. The officers and Dispatchers involved did a great job in responding, investigating and the arrest of the POI. This incident shows the importance of one neighbor watching out for another neighbor and reporting suspicious activity. Thank you to the neighbor who reported suspicious activity to the police. All persons are innocent until found Guilty in a Court of Law.
