The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

July 9th

1139 Hours: Officer Mapes recovered a Toyota T100 that was reported stolen out of Fremont on the 36900 block of Magnolia Street. The registered owner was notified of the recovery.

1144 Hours: Officer Palacio investigated a credit fraud case where an unknown person was added to the victims credit card account. The investigation is ongoing.

1738 Hours: Officers Palacio and Rivera investigated a residential burglary on the 5900 block of Bitterroot Drive. The loss is miscellaneous power tools.

0027 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 33-year-old Fremont male for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia during a routine pedestrian stop on the 5500 block of Thornton Avenue. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
