The temperature is rising .  The highs are expected to be in the 100's this weekend.  If you need a place to get out of the heat, the City of Arcadia will provide the following cooling centers:

The Arcadia Library, 20 W.Duarte Rd, Mon- Sat 10AM-6PM.

The Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Dr, Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM.

Here are a few tips to beat the heat:

• Stay hydrated by getting plenty of water to drink
• Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing
• Apply sunscreen before you venture into the sun
• Schedule activities during cooler hours of the day
• Stay indoors, preferably with air conditioning
• Pay attention to friends, family, and co-workers for any warning signs
• Check in on elderly family and neighbors twice a day during heat waves
