* High temperatures today between 89 and 92 degrees and elevated humidity will result in heat indices around 100 degrees this afternoon. IMPACTS...

* The hot and humid air could lead to potentially hazardous conditions, particularly for the elderly and those with pre- existing health conditions.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MACOMB ... OAKLAND ... WAYNE
