The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... McNairy County in southwestern Tennessee... Northwestern Hardin County in southwestern Tennessee... Southern Chester County in southwestern Tennessee...

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 853 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Morris Chapel, or 7 miles northwest of Savannah, moving west at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Savannah, Henderson, Selmer, Chickasaw State Park, Adamsville, Silerton, Masseyville, Morris Chapel, Robertson, McNairy, Crump, Bethel Springs, Finger, Stantonville, Milledgeville, Enville, Forty Forks, Rose Creek, Good Hope and Right. HAIL...<.75IN WIND...60MPH

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHESTER ... HARDIN ... MCNAIRY

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. If on or near a lake, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
