Grosse Pointe Farms Dept. of Public Safety has an important message for the community.
Please be advised that the city has adopted the state restrictions on use of fireworks (Michigan Fireworks Safety Act 256 of 2011). The city ordinance allows for the use of fireworks to the day preceding, the day of, and the day after national holidays between the hours of 8:00am and Midnight .
Additionally, please keep an eye on your pets. More pets are lost during the fourth of July than any other time of year.
