...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EDT THURSDAY... The Heat Advisory is now in effect until 4 PM EDT Thursday. HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

* High temperatures between 90 and 93 degrees and elevated humidity will result in heat indices around 100 degrees this afternoon and early evening. Little overnight relief is expected with low temperatures only falling into the mid 70s. High temperatures will again reach into the lower 90s Thursday with continued elevated humidity leading to heat indices peaking around 100 degrees during the afternoon. IMPACTS...

* The hot and humid air could lead to potentially hazardous conditions, particularly for the elderly and those with pre- existing health conditions.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MACOMB ... OAKLAND ... WAYNE
