Per state law 25-10-2, it is perfectly legal to explode fireworks between 10:00AM and 11:59PM on July 3rd and July 4th.

But what about the noise ordinance...

The state law supersedes local noise ordinances.

But my animals don't like it...

Nothing in the state law allows your animal's dislikes to dictate human behavior. Perhaps the world would be a better place if it was run by terriers or chinchillas, but that is not the order of things.

But, but, but... It doesn't matter. State law is the state law, and we can't stop people from doing things the state has deemed legal.

Of course, if you gather all of your friends for a 0700 weed-eater symphony along your heartless neighbor's property line to get revenge for Fluffy, well, that would be legal too.
