Chester Ave. & Main St. will be closed Wed. 7/4/18 between 11:30am-1:30pm for the Annual Independence Day Parade. 
The annual Independence Day Parade will be held on Wednesday 7/4/18 kicking off at noon. The parade participants will stage on Central Ave. Chester Ave. south of Central Ave., Main St. between Chesnut St. & Church St., and Church St. between Rt. 38 & W. Second St. will be closed to traffic from approx. 11:30 am through 1:30 pm. Officers will be on location to assist with traffic.
Stop up and enjoy the parade.
The National has issued a heat advisory for 7/4/18. Though temperatures are forecast to be slightly lower Wednesday, it will still be dangerously hot. The cumulative effects of this prolonged heat event will exacerbate the risk of heat illnesses.
Be sure to hydrate with temperatures expected to be in the 90's. EMS personnel will be available at Main & Chester and Main & Mill if you need assistance.
