Traffic stop leads to arrest of Fort Branch woman on multiple charges. 
On July 2, 2018, at 1:13 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith stopped a Silver 2005 Buick Lacrosse on State Road 57 near Buckskin. During a roadside investigation the driver of the vehicle was identified as 46 year old Dee Ann Lefler of Fort Branch. While speaking with Ms. Lefler Deputy Smith detected the odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle Ms. Lefler was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Lefler was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Methamphetamines. She has since posted a $750 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
