As of 7:30 pm, the fire near Moraga Road and Buckingham is completely contained and is in patrol status. Moraga-Orinda Fire District firefighters will be actively patrolling and checking the fire area to ensure there are no flare ups.

Moraga Road is open to all traffic. Thank you for your patience during the closure, which was necessary due to fire apparatus, fire hoses and personnel in the roadway.

Please use caution when operating any type of equipment in areas of dry grass or brush. Remember, all fireworks, even “safe and sane fireworks,” are illegal in Contra Costa County, including Moraga.
