4th of July Fireworks Safety Information
Fireworks sales began Saturday, June 30th and last until July 4th.
Only Safe & Sane fireworks approved by the California State Fire Marshal (SFM) are allowed for use in Petaluma. Safe & Sane fireworks will always have the SFM seal on the packaging.
Safe & Sane fireworks can be purchased at the approved booths in Petaluma. Safe and sane fireworks may only be discharged on July 4th from the hours of 10am until 11pm.
.All fireworks, including Safe & Sane, are illegal for use in the high fire severity zones. All fireworks are prohibited in all unincorporated areas of Petaluma. here in Sonoma County except within the city limits of Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol and Cloverdale.
All fireworks including Safe & Sane are illegal for use everywhere in Marin County.
There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for possession, sale or use of illegal fireworks in Petaluma.
