Power has been restored to most areas throughout Petaluma with the exception being areas along Lakeville Street between East Washington Street and Casa Grande Road. Some intersections are still on four-way flashing and Petaluma Public Works is working to restore them. Continue using caution and remember to stop at all uncontrolled intersections.
PG&E has identified a blown transformer as the souce of the outage and is continuing to restore power to all residents.

Petaluma Police Department is receiving multiple reports of a widespread power outage affecting west Petaluma. Our dispatch communication center is inundated with 911 calls regarding the outage. Please refrain from calling our communication center unless it is an emergency.
In the event that you encounter traffic intersection where the traffic lights are not functioning please stop at the uncontrolled intersection as you would for a stop sign and proceed through the intersection when safe. Petaluma PD is encouraging all residents to drive with caution until power is restored.
There is limited information available at this time regarding the nature of the outage, anticipated time of repair, or the areas affected.
