Princeton man arrested for driving without ever receiving a license.
On June 27, 2018, at 1:40 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Black 2006 Ford Fusion for speeding on Main Street in Patoka. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith identified the driver as 18 year old Brice Bennett of Princeton. During a roadside investigation Deputy Smith ran Mr. Bennett through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Bennett had never been issued a valid operator’s license. At that point Mr. Bennett was placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving the jail Mr. Bennett was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Ever Receiving a Valid License. He has since posted a $450 bond.
Assisting Deputy Smith in his investigation was Gibson County Sgt. Roger Ballard and officers from the Princeton Police Department.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
