The National Weather Service in Saint Louis has issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM Friday to 10 PM Saturday.
Heat Index Values of 105 and higher are likely during the late morning through early evening Thursday through Saturday.
The likely combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will lead to an increased risk of heat-related stress and illness.  The very young, the elderly, those without air conditioning, and those particitating in strenuous outdoor  activities will be most susceptible.  Also, car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
