Going to the 4th of July parade? Here's what you need to know about reserving a spot, parking & traffic.

In preparation for the Independence Day parade in the City of Sheboygan, the Sheboygan Police Department would like to advise the public of the parade route and policies to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable holiday:

The July 4th parade will begin at 9:00 AM. The route is north on N. 8th Street from Center Avenue to Michigan Avenue. East on Michigan Avenue to Broughton Drive. South on Broughton Drive, ending at Wisconsin Avenue.

Reserving a spot for the Independence Day Parade:
-We would like to remind the community that the policy of the City of Sheboygan is that you may bring tarps and chairs to hold a spot between the sidewalk and street along the parade route after 5:00 AM on July 4, 2018.  Any items placed out prior to that time will be considered abandoned property and may be removed.  This is to help minimize the amount of over-night vandalism and help to prevent conflicts over those spots.

All side streets connecting to the parade route will be barricaded off the morning of July 4, 2018.  For safety reasons, vehicles parked on the parade route after 7:30 AM on July 4, 2018, will be towed.
