Here is the Castaic/ Val Verde Crime Information and Public Safety Report for June 11, 2018 through June 18, 2018:

6/11/18 

Theft- 26000 block of Hancock Parkway
The victim reported 12 gallons of gas syphoned from his work vehicle. The line to the gas tank had a hole cut in it where the gas was taken from. 

6/15/18 
Theft- 31000 block of Paseo Del Caliente
The victim reported two packages from Amazon were stolen from their front porch. The crime occurred during the daytime hours. 

Remember, in any community, the citizens are the first set of eyes and ears for 1st responders. It is the community who knows what “does” and “doesn’t” look right. It is you, the local citizens, who can tell who “does” and “doesn’t” belong in the area. If you see any suspicious activity, something that doesn’t look “right”, please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency. 

Please be aware that many of the thefts we have seen in the past have been 'Crimes of Opportunity.' Never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk of becoming a victim.
