Water St to be closed by 3pm today for The Great Race. All vehicles must be off the street or they will be towed.

A reminder to come to Gardiner this afternoon/evening and partake in the festivities as over 100 classic cars will be coming to town finishing up a leg of The Great Race. The cars will line both sides of Water Street for spectators to check out. There will also be food trucks, a band and fireworks at the Gardiner Waterfront. The racers are expected to filter in from 5-7pm so come down and check out the "Great Race" cars. There will also be local classic cars at the Waterfront on display as local enthusiasts show off their rides. There will be road closures and detours and lots of pedestrians in our downtown area, please be prepared and please drive with extra caution.
