* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Cherokee County in northwestern Iowa... Southeastern Sioux County in northwestern Iowa... Northeastern Plymouth County in northwestern Iowa... Southwestern O`Brien County in northwestern Iowa...
* Until 845 PM CDT.
* At 446 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Remsen, Marcus, Paullina, Cleghorn and Oyens. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CHEROKEE ... O'BRIEN ... PLYMOUTH ... SIOUX
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
