Bicyclist Injured in Hit and Run Crash

Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that on 6/24/28 at 1239 hours, his office was called to investigate a car vs bicycle crash on Decatur rd, near Brewer St, in Volinia Township, Cass County Michigan. 24, yr old, Decatur resident, Jason Howard, was riding his bicycle North on Decatur rd, when a vehicle struck him from behind. This vehicle then left the scene and believed to travel North bound on Decatur Rd. The vehicle is believed to be a Silver colored Crown Victoria vehicle with right front side damage. Mr. Howard was transported to Borgess Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment with minor injuries. This case remains under investigation and if anyone knows any information in the case is encourage to call the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
