Suspect:
Narrative:
On Friday, June 22nd, 2018 around 1700 hours, members of the Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) in conjunction with the California Department of Corrections and the Los Angeles County Probation Department were working gang enforcement in the area of Towne and Harrison. Officers were monitoring a global positioning device of a known Pomona gang member, Phillip Torres.
Officers located Suspect Torres to the rear of his residence. Suspect Torres was advised by officers that they would be conducting a compliance check to ensure he didn’t have anything illegal. Suspect Torres became visibly nervous and eventually told officers he had a large amount of narcotics hidden in his bedroom. When officers searched Suspect Torres’ bedroom, they recovered 4 ½ ounces of methamphetamine, a digital scale and miscellaneous plastic baggies used to package and sell narcotics.
Torres was arrested for 11378 HS Possession for Sales of Methamphetamine and 3056 PC Parole Violation.
Torres was booked at the Pomona City Jail.
