Amtrak San Joaquins just launched the Morning Express service, allowing San Joaquin Valley travelers to reach Sacramento before 8am. Trains returning to the San Joaquin Valley leave Sacramento at 12:41 pm and 5:30 pm.  The Amtrak San Joaquins train turns travel time into productive time with onboard amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and a café car. Traveling to and from Sacramento on the Morning Express allows passengers to start their work day avoiding traffic and stress of driving. The new Morning Express to Sacramento serves stations at Fresno, Madera, Merced, Turlock-Denair, Modesto, Stockton, and Lodi. A “First Ride Free” program is being offered to get new riders onboard to experience the new Morning Express service.
