Suspects arrested for an assault with a deadly weapon charge from May 2018

LOCATION: 26000 Block of 9th St., Highland
SUSPECT(S): Manuel Lopez, 55- year-old resident of Highland
Robert Higginbotham, 27-year-old resident of Highland
VICTIM(S): 37-year-old female
SUMMARY: On May 3, 2018, deputies responded to the 26000 Block of 9th Street in Highland for a call of a woman who had been hit in the head with a wrench and crutch. Deputies discovered that following a verbal argument, she was attacked by two males who were later identified as Manuel Lopez and Robert Higginbotham. The victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries.
Higginbotham was arrested on May 25, 2018 by San Bernardino Police, and Lopez was arrested on June 17, 2018, by San Bernardino Police. Both were booked at the Central Detention Center in lieu of $150,000 bail.
