This will cause minor flooding including in parts of the Chicago
area during the rest of the morning commute. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
Over one inch of rain has already fallen early this morning in
some locations, and this in on top of already wet ground
conditions.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Elgin, Waukegan, Cicero,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
