Additional law enforcement coverage during the week of Fourth of July
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 2:00pm
INCIDENT: ADDITIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT COVERAGE
LOCATION: City of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
With Independence Day just around the corner, we have been experiencing a rise in nuisance and fireworks calls. During the week of Fourth of July the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station will be dispatching additional patrol personnel throughout the City of Adelanto to enforce laws governing the use of fireworks.
Deputies will be responding to nuisance and fireworks calls and taking enforcement action when warranted. The City of Adelanto is the only city within the High Desert that allows fireworks, which have been deemed Safe and Sane by the California State Fire Marshal, between June 28, 2018 at 12:00pm until 11:59pm on July 4, 2018. Fireworks that have not been deemed Safe and Sane are not legal anywhere in the State of California.
Several local venues will be holding firework shows this year. Please visit city or chamber of commerce websites for locations.
The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station is wishing you a HAPPY and SAFE 4th of July.
