Carjacking Suspects Identified and Taken Into Custody

***UPDATE JUNE 18, 2018***

During the course of the investigation, Green Bay Police Detectives and Officers learned that 4 male juveniles took a cab ride. After being dropped off after the first cab ride, the 4 males then plotted to assault a taxi cab driver and kick the victim out of the cab and called the driver back for a second ride.

During the second ride, the 4 male juveniles executed their plan and began to simultaneously assault the cab driver, punching her, kicking her, attempting to strangle her, and shoving her multiple times until she fell out of the cab and onto the ground. One of the males struck her in the face and head with an object. It is believed some or all of the males continued striking her while outside of the cab prior to stealing her wallet and the money it contained. The female driver suffered significant injuries.

The Green Bay Police Department has successfully identified all four of the males involved in the conspiracy to rob and assault the cab driver and take the cab. We are requesting charges of Robbery (Conspiracy), Aggravated Battery, Strangulation, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner's Consent.

A fifth male was identified as being the driver during the short chase when the van and its occupants attempted to flee from the Green Bay Police later in the day. We are requesting charges of Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Operating a Vehicle Without Owner's Consent for the 5th male.

All five juveniles are from the Green Bay area, however, no additional information can be released on them due to their age.

Although no additional information can be released at this time, Captain Muraski will be available to the media between 11:30 and noon at the Green Bay Police Department.
