...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING... The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 9 PM PDT this evening.
* WINDS...Southwest 20 TO 30 mph with gusts of 45 mph to 55 mph. The highest wind gusts will occur right below the mountain passes.
* IMPACTS...Highways affected include Highway 58 through and below Tehachapi Pass in the vicinity of Mojave...Highway 178 through and below Walker Pass...Highway 14 and U.S. 395. High profile vehicles will be most vulnerable to strong cross winds. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. &&
