#LASD Dodger Joc Pederson and Supervisor Solis Dedicating Dreamfields at Rimgrove Park in La Puente

Joc Pederson to Join Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to Dedicate 48th & 49th Dodgers Dreamfields on Saturday at Rimgrove Park in La Puente

WHAT:  
The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) in partnership with Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, Security Benefit, LA84 Foundation, County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation and Los Angeles County Regional Parks & Open Space District will dedicate its 48th and 49th Dodgers Dreamfields tomorrow at Rimgrove Park in La Puente. The grand opening, will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a brief program emceed by Alanna Rizzo, broadcaster for the Los Angeles Dodgers, followed by a youth baseball clinic at 10:45 a.m., administered by members of the Arcadia High School baseball team, with special assistance from Dodger outfielder Joc Pederson and Dodger Alumni Billy Ashley, Lee Lacy, Matt Luke and Derrel Thomas. Two hundred youth from Rimgrove Park’s sports programs and the Los Angeles County Sheriff Youth Activities League will participate in the clinic.
The grand opening follows an investment of over $490,000 into the construction of the two Dodgers Dreamfields, which included new turf, irrigation, fencing, backstop, dugout roofs, scoreboard, field and windscreen signage, and a batting cage.

Through the Dodgers Dreamfields program, LADF builds and refurbishes baseball & softball fields in underserved communities to provide a safe place for youth to conduct positive recreational activity in their own neighborhoods. In partnership with corporations, foundations and local municipalities, Dodgers Dreamfields contribute to both community development and youth development by providing youth the opportunity and space to learn and play the game of baseball and softball while building character and instilling important life lessons.
