Advisory

Traffic impacts throughout Mountain View this afternoon/ evening

Good morning neighbors,

We have a busy Thursday ahead of us here in Mountain View! Tonight, Kesha and Macklemore will be performing for fans at Shoreline Amphitheater. For those attending the show, or for those who are heading to and from that area, please allow extra time to get where you are going. While the show is not sold out, we are expecting several thousand guests in attendance. Doors open around 5 pm with performances beginning around 6 pm. The concert will end by 11 pm. Please note, we do NOT control noise levels at the venue.

Tonight is also the city's first Thursday Night Live of the summer season. The event, which lasts from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, will close portions of the downtown area for folks to walk around and enjoy a car show, a farmer's market, kids activities, food and more! Please be aware that traveling along Castro Street will be limited from roughly Villa Street to City Hall.

Finally, the Mountain View Police Department will be participating in the Torch Run as we gear up to celebrate and honor the athletes participating in this year's Special Olympics. We will be running down El Camino Real with the Torch from roughly 2 pm to 4 pm, when we hand off the flame to the Palo Alto Police Department participants. Traffic impacts should be minimal, and if you see us, give us a wave!

If you have any questions, just let us know! See you out and about, MV.
