Good Thursday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Wednesday, 6/13/18.

-200 blk Avenue V, Levelland: Warrant Arrest. Deputies responded to a residence in the area related to a civil complaint. On scene, one of the parties was determined to have multiple warrants, including a felony. The individual was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail.

-Hwy 84 at Onion Shed Rd, Anton: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to the area to attempt to locate a reported suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located and it was determined to have mechanical issues. The driver stated a friend was going to tow him from the area.

-Hwy 114 at FM 303, Levelland: Traffic Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate an individual riding an ATV on the roadway in the area. The area was checked and the ATV was not located.

-100 blk Mandy Circle, Opdyke: Traffic Complaint. Deputies responded to a report of a juvenile driving a vehicle on the roadway. The vehicle and the juvenile were located and released to parents. Transportation Code rules were explained to all parties.

-Barton Ln at Cactus, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection. DPS was notified and a trooper arrived on scene to conduct the crash investigation. Deputies assisted on scene as needed.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 0800 hours on 6/14/18: 50 in Hockley County, 6 to be processed, 32 out of county.
