Fortune was on active parole, and MacPherson was on active supervised release probation.
A search of their vehicle yielded a loaded pistol, over 1 ounce of suspected methamphetamine, over 2 ounces of suspected heroin, 2.5 pounds of marijuana, items used in the sales of narcotics, and various narcotic paraphernalia. All of the subjects were arrested for firearm possession and narcotic sales offenses, as well as parole and probation violations, and were booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
The opioid epidemic is a nationwide problem and Petaluma is not exempt. The Petaluma Police Department has increased its proactive narcotics enforcement and monitoring of known offenders. The Petaluma Police Department strongly encourages these types of tips from our community and considers them a priority given this epidemic.
