Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 6/11/18.

-FM 303 at Horseshoe Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy responded to a reported theft at a work site. Multiple pieces of equipment were taken from the location. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

-Justin Rd at Roughneck Rd, Sundown: Theft. A deputy was notified of a second theft at another location involving oilfield equipment. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

-Hwy 385 at FM 41, Ropesville: Vehicle Crash. A deputy responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection. DPS was also notified. Deputies assisted on scene as the crash investigation was conducted.

-Grubstake Rd at Hwy 385: Loose Livestock. A deputy was notified of loose livestock south of Grubstake Rd in the area west of Hwy 385. The deputy checked the area and was not able to locate the livestock.

-800 blk N. Alamo Rd, Levelland: Fire. Deputies responded to assist on the scene of a fire at a residence in the area. Fire crews arrived and were able to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.

-3000 blk W. Houston, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in reference to a civil matter over livestock. Both parties agreed to terms and the matter was handled without incident. Civil remedies were advised to all parties.

-200 blk Avenue V, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a civil matter over an eviction. Civil remedies were advised to both parties and they were directed to the appropriate court.

-100 blk Lincoln, Smyer: Warrant Arrest. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to an individual walking along the highway. Another deputy located the female, who advised she was looking for help due to a vehicle issue in Smyer. A male subject was contacted on Lincoln and was later arrested for an active warrant. The vehicle was secured and the female was picked up by a friend and transported to her residence.

-100 blk Arnett, Ropesville: Motorist Assist. A deputy responded to a location along US 62/82 regarding a motorist that was lost and trying to get back to a residence in Lubbock County. A Terry County deputy was with the individual, and our deputy escorted her to the Lubbock County line where a Lubbock County deputy continued to assist to get her home.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities and civil process service.

Jail population as of 6/12/18 at 0800 hours: 51 in Hockley County, 4 to be processed, 31 out of county.
