One injured in SUV Roll-Over

Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on 6-11-18 at 1330. The crash occurred on Mason St east of Gordon Rd. in Cass County's Mason Township. Investigation of the crash showed that a SUV, driven by Stacey Garritano (49 yrs of Cassopolis) was east bound on Mason St. when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its side in the roadway. Ms. Garritano was extricated from the vehicle by SEPSA Fire Department and transported to St. Joseph Memorial Hospital via MedFlight. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Seatbelt use is unknown at this time. Assisting on scene were SEPSA Ambulance, SEPSA Fire Department, and the Michigan State Police. The crash remains under investigation.
