3:15 PM FINAL UPDATE: The Sheriff's Dept has reopened all traffic lanes on PCH at Big Rock following an early morning traffic collision with a power pole that resulted in downed live wires. SCE has completed its repairs.
10:45 AM UPDATE: One westbound and both eastbound lanes on PCH are now open at Big Rock where a collision with downed power lines occurred earlier this morning. One westbound lane remains closed while SCE completes repairs.
10:00 AM UPDATE: One lane is now open in each direction on PCH at Big Rock as So. California Edison crews continue repairs of downed power lines following earlier traffic collision with power pole. Expect delays and use alternate routes, if possible.
9:16 AM - UPDATE: Edison repair crew expected to take several hours for repairs of downed power lines. All lanes will remain closed and traffic is being turned around at Big Rock Dr.
UPDATE: PCH is closed in both directions at Big Rock Dr due to a traffic collision with a power pole. Hot wires are down in traffic lanes. Southern California Edison has been notified and Deputies are on-scene for traffic control.
It is unknown when lanes will reopen - motorists should expect serious delays and use alternate routes, if possible.
