...ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY... ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON... The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Illinois, east central Illinois, southeast Illinois, and west central Illinois, including the following areas, in central Illinois, Christian, Sangamon, and Shelby. In east central Illinois, Coles, Cumberland, and Moultrie. In southeast Illinois, Clay, Crawford, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence, and Richland. In west central Illinois, Cass, Morgan, and Scott.

* From 9 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday afternoon

* Between three and seven inches of rain has fallen over portions of central Illinois over the past 24 hours. Another round of several inches of rain is possible late tonight into Tuesday. This additional rainfall on the saturated ground may lead to flash flooding.

* Flash flooding will be possible in streams and low spots across the watch area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CASS ... CHRISTIAN ... CLAY ... COLES ... CRAWFORD ... CUMBERLAND ... EFFINGHAM ... JASPER ... LAWRENCE ... MORGAN ... MOULTRIE ... RICHLAND ... SANGAMON ... SCOTT ... SHELBY
