May 28th
Other Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
1000 block Crescent Heights Blvd
05/28/2018 @ 10:16 am. Four males broke a window to gain access to the vacant house and appeared to have been living there for several days when a neighbor noticed them and called the Sheriff’s Department. Responding deputies located and arrested three suspects inside of the residence. A fourth suspect fled the area on a bicycle. Loss $1500. #03459
 
Vehicle Burglary
1400 block Laurel Avenue
05/28/2018 @ 12 am – 5:45 pm. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window but did not take anything. Loss $150. #03467

Aggravated Assault - Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested)
1200 block La Brea Avenue
05/29/2018 @ 2:47 pm. A man drove his vehicle over the curb and in the direction of a security guard after being asked to leave the store. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #03487
 
May 30th
Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
1100 block Detroit Street
05/30/2018 @ 1:42 pm. Three males removed a bathroom window screen to gain access and ransacked the interior. All three suspects ran from the building when a friend of the resident stopped by to check on the apartment. Responding deputies located and arrested one suspect. #03503

900 block Hilldale Avenue
05/30/2018 @ 9:20 pm. An unknown suspect used an opened and unlocked front door to gain access and removed a laptop computer from the living room. Loss $2K. #03512
 
May 31st
Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
05/31/2018 @ 1:35 pm. A male removed a backpack, belt, and shirt from a display area and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect shoved the victim in the chest and tried to run away. Additional security guards detained the suspect and he was arrested by responding deputies. Loss $85 (recovered). #03528
 
Vehicle Burglary
1000 block Orange Grove Avenue
05/31/2018 @ 11 pm – 11 am. A suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a bag containing one pair of skis, ski poles, clothing, and bindings from the back seat. Loss $2973. #03542
 
June 1st
Residential Burglary (Suspects Arrested)
1400 block Laurel Avenue
06/01/2018 @ 0507. A man used an unlocked patio door to gain access and fell asleep on the living room couch. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect inside of the residence. No loss. #03540
 
Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
900 block Havenhurst Drive
06/01/2018 @ 12 pm. A man kicked the front door open to gain access and confronted his estranged wife in the living room. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. Loss $1K (door). #03547
 
Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested)

06/01/2018 @ 5:45 pm. A man removed a sweater, pants, and a backpack and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect shoved the victim in the chest and tried to run away. Additional security guards detained the suspect and he was arrested by responding deputies. Loss $62 (recovered). #03555

8800 block Betty Way
06/02/2018 – 06/04/2018. An unknown suspect removed a laptop computer, two tablet computers, and a cell phone from the bedroom. Loss $3700. #03607 (related to #03588)
 
Armed Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
800 block West Knoll Drive
06/02/2018 @ 6:50 am. A man committing a residential burglary was confronted by the homeowner while inside of the residence.  The suspect told the victim armed men were inside the residence and the victim should return to his bed. The suspect ran from the residence and was captured a short time later by responding deputies. #03570

1000 block Ogden Drive
06/03/2018 @ 11 pm – 11 pm. An unknown susepct removed an unsecured mountain bike from the back yard of the residence. Loss $1200. #03639

06/03/2018 @ 3:48 am. A man kicked in a patio door to gain access to the residence and was confronted by the homeowner. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. Loss $100 (door). #03588
