The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
June 7th
0647 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 38-year-old transient male for his outstanding warrant during a pedestrian stop on Cedar Boulevard at Chapman Drive. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
0707 Hours: Officer San Pedro investigated a residential burglary on the 38000 block of Geranium Street. The loss is unknown at this time.
0905 Hours: Officer Wallace investigated a pair of auto burglaries in front of Starbucks, 35040 Newark Boulevard. The loss is miscellaneous electronics.
1254 Hours: Officers were dispatched to a person possibly sleeping in a vehicle on the 37300 block of Locust Street. A 21-year-old Newark female was contacted and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
