Advisory

DWI enforcement leads to two arrests in one day.

On Wednesday May 30, 2018, at 10:31AM, South Brunswick Police responded to the Valero gas station (2040 Route 130) for a verbal dispute occurring between two individuals in a blue pick-up truck.  When Officers arrived they found a 2006 blue Ford F-150 driven by Jorge Arteaga-Santiago, 53 years old of Robbinsville, and Stacey Tucker, 45 years old from Robbinsville, in the passenger seat.  Officer Dale Hubner and Officer Robert Marrese investigated the dispute and were initially given different names and false personal information by Jorge Arteaga-Santiago and Stacey Tucker.  Officer Hubner indicated that Jorge Arteaga-Santiago appeared to be intoxicated while speaking with him.  Jorge Arteaga-Santiago told Officers that he last drank three beers during the nighttime hours of Memorial Day, which was two days prior.

As a result of several standardized field sobriety tests and Officer’s Hubner’s investigation, Jorge Arteaga-Santiago was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, hindering his own apprehension for providing false information, and issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.  Stacy Tucker was also arrested for hindering her own apprehension for providing false information and two previous warrants for her arrest out of East Windsor Township.  Both Jorge Arteaga-Santiago and Stacey Tucker were released pending their first court appearance.

Later that day, at 8:54PM, South Brunswick Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Major Road.  When Officers arrived they found a 2013 grey Ford Focus off of the roadway after making impact with a nearby fire hydrant.  Officer Jamal Benbow investigated the crash and located Stanley Allen Jr, 27 years old of North Brunswick, and Alexander Allen, 26 years old of Monmouth Junction, directly across the road from the crashed vehicle.  Both individuals appeared to be intoxicated while speaking with Officer Benbow and initially told him another male was driving the vehicle, who fled from the scene after the crash.  After several minutes Stanley Allen Jr changed his initial account to say he was driving the car. Officers pieced together the travel route of the vehicle prior to the crash and located surveillance video which showed Alexander Allen as the driver.  Alexander Allen admitted to being the driver after confronted with the video surveillance.

As a result of Officers Benbow’s investigation, Alexander Allen was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and Stanley Allen Jr was arrested for hindering his own apprehension for providing false information.  The vehicle involved in the crash was impounded and Alexander Allen was issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.  Both Alexander Allen and Stanley Allen Jr were released pending their first court appearance.
