ADDITIONAL PRESS RELEASE INFORMATION:
On 6-4-18 at 2052 hours officers responded to 522 N. 8th in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival officers contacted the resident who was identified as Rodney Pahneeno, a 61 year of age male. Officers then located an adult female in the residence who was not responsive and appeared to have trauma to her body. Officers detained Pahneeno and secured the scene. Detectives then responded to the scene and obtained a search warrant. Based on the investigation Pahneeno was charged with Voluntary Manslaughter and was transported to the Bannock County Jail where he was incarcerated. This investigation is ongoing and we are not able to release any further details. The only suspect in the case was apprehended and placed into custody and there is not a threat to the public.
