On Monday, June 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., stop by and meet your Thousand Oaks Police Chief Tim Hagel and Thousand Oaks Fire Chief John Spykerman at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at 487 North Moorpark Road. The police and fire chiefs invite you to share your concerns of your neighborhood, openly, over a free cup of coffee. Over the last four years these casual, spontaneous discussions between community members and the chiefs have led to numerous resolutions of community issues that would otherwise have not surfaced. The Thousand Oaks Police Department and Ventura County Fire Department view open lines of communication as an integral part of developing proactive partnerships with the community and working together on identifying, prioritizing and solving problems. This is also an opportunity to talk about personal safety, crime, and quality of life issues. |
