Flood Warning until 08:51AM Tuesday

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in West Virginia... Opequon Creek near Martinsburg affecting Berkeley and Jefferson Counties ...Flood Warning extended until Tuesday morning... The Flood Warning continues for The Opequon Creek near Martinsburg.

* Until Tuesday morning.

* At 3 PM Monday the stage was 12.6 feet.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3 PM Monday was 13.4 feet.

* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by overnight tonight.

* Impact...At 12.5 feet...The creek is well out of its banks with lowlands nearby flooded. Golf Course Road /County Road 36/ is flooded near the Van Metre Ford Pedestrian Bridge. Fields and backyards near the creek are flooded and some residents may need to move items to higher ground. Several other roads are flooded, including Grapevine Road, Douglas Grove Road, and Paynes Ford Road. Backwater flooding is occurring on small tributaries, including Tuscarora Creek.
