Here is the Crime Information and Public Safety Report for Canyon Country East (Zone 8) for the week of May 21, 2018 through May 27, 2018:

05/22/18 

Vehicle Burglary - 15200 block of Saddleback Road 
Person(s) unknown shattered the rear window to the victim’s vehicle, and stole a bag containing miscellaneous paperwork and a calculator. 
 

05/23/18 

Petty Theft - 18600 block of Via Princessa 
Two suspects were seen taking store items from a business near the above location and making no attempt to pay for the items. 
 

05/24/18 

Residential Burglary - 27600 block of Marta Lane 
One suspect was seen inside the victim’s garage looking through his tools. The suspect was detained by the victim pending the arrival of the police. The suspect was arrested. 
 

05/25/18 

Residential Burglary- 18300 block of Soledad Canyon Road 
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s residence by unknown means and stole cash from within.
 

IF YOU WITNESS A CRIME 

If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at least the following about the offenders: 

When reporting a crime by telephone, remain on the phone until the dispatcher is fully briefed with all the information necessary to dispatch the appropriate response personnel to the scene. 

1. Age, race, height, and weight; 

2. Hair color and style, beard and mustache; 

3. Notable characteristics (acne, scars, glasses mental state, etc.) 

4. Clothing description; 

5. Location where last seen; 

6. Last known direction of travel; 

7. Vehicle description and distinctive markings. 

Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous may do so. It is more important that a response be dispatched as quickly as possible.
