The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a
* Flood Warning for... Northeastern Pocahontas County in northeastern West Virginia...
* Until 845 PM EDT Saturday.
* At 1140 AM EDT, reporting gauges indicate 1 to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen over the past 3 to 6 hours. Moderate rain will continue into the early afternoon hours, with an additional inch of rain expected.
* Runoff will lead to some area creeks surpassing bankfull. Some creeks that will be affected include the East and West Forks of the Greenbrier River.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Durbin, Bartow and Boyer.
* AFFECTED AREAS: POCAHONTAS

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks. Please report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
