...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM TODAY FOR THE ENTIRE REGION DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM FRIDAY FOR THE ENTIRE AREA EXCEPT THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... .Breezy to windy southwest winds will continue this afternoon and evening across northern and central New Mexico and will be combined with a very dry and unstable airmass with high Haines and above average warmth. Ten to 15 consecutive hours of single digit humidities are forecast this afternoon and evening over western and central New Mexico. Mostly poor humidity recoveries are expected tonight. Dry, windy and unstable conditions will return Friday with widespread critical fire weather conditions expected. ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING... ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM MDT FRIDAY... The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AREA AND TIMING...All of northern and central New Mexico this afternoon through this evening. All of northern and central New Mexico, except the Northwest Plateau, from late Friday morning through Friday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts near 40 mph this afternoon through this evening. Southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts near 45 mph late Friday morning through Friday evening.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...4 to 10 percent this afternoon and evening and again Friday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST CENTRAL PLAINS ... MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY ... NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ... NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS ... NORTHEAST PLAINS ... NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS ... SANDIA MANZANO AND GALLINAS MOUNTAINS ... WEST CENTRAL HIGHLANDS
