We'll be testing outdoor warning sirens today 5/31 between 10a&2p. Follow our progress www.facebook.com/teton.wy.ema

Today, Thursday May 31st 2018 between 10:00am and 2:00pm Teton County Emergency Management will be testing outdoor warning sirens throughout the County. The siren tests will be for approximately 1 minute each with an "air raid" style wail, and the sirens on E Pearl Ave and at Teton Village will also be accompanied by a loudspeaker voice message saying that it is just a test. You probably already heard about today's planned test from one of these sources:

Official Local Sources

Local Emergency Alert System Broadcast Partners Other Media Partners These are the same places you should tune to for further information if the sirens are activated for a real emergency. During an actual emergency, the sirens would be activated for a 3 minute “air-raid” style wail. At that point, tune to the sources above for further information about what is going on and what you should do. Save this email so you have a quick reference list of sources for information during an emergency. Remember, technology fails, especially during a crisis, so always have the ability to check multiple sources (radio, TV, internet, text message, email) during an emergency.

If you have questions about public alert and warning, or would like to report if you heard a siren during today’s test by reporting your location and the time, contact Teton County Emergency Management at [email protected].
